Integrating Agile Values and Principles in Change Management
Abstract
This paper discusses the integration of the four Agile values and its 12 principles into Change Management to improve predictability, cost-effectiveness, and ultimately success. Often, we would see changing requirements which require an effective response to feedback, where the “waterfall” way of traditional Change Management cannot be the only hammer that could nail the solutions – thus a hybrid approach with Agile on board would be beneficial., case studies, articles, and a few data gathering with project implementation personnel will be used to collect data to draw findings relating to Change Management implementations across TNB. This will also give insights and opportunities on how the Agile methodology would complement the conventional “waterfall” Change Management projects. While the waterfall approach can produce rigorous documentation and reliable governance, the Agile methodology when being introduced and integrated may improve predictability and respond in a timely manner in a timely manner to feedback. The key is to emphasize the collaborative aspect of Agile and its incremental approach. Originality/value: This paper is a literature review. The search for articles was made in Google Scholar and several other databases. A combination of terms related to Agile Methodology combination with waterfall-style Change Management findings is made to draw conclusions and findings apart from other data gathering types as mentioned in the design/approach.
