Abstract

The education system in Malaysia is constantly facing changes due to the ever-increasing demands from the stakeholder. Hence, teachers need to ensure lifelong learning among them and increase student achievement. This study was carried out to identify the level of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) through the Online In-Service Training (IST) on the perspective of teachers in the primary school. A quantitative survey study was conducted on 30 teachers at a selected school in Keramat zone, Kuala Lumpur. Descriptive statistical analysis was performed on the data obtained. The findings revealed CPD through online IST among primary school teachers is at a high level. The results of this study can provide vital information on online training content modules for teachers to the Ministry, state and district education departments as well as training institutes. It is recommended that CPD evaluation through online IST should be conducted consistently so that teachers can identify the desired attitude, skills and knowledge changes.
